About me
All of you who know me know there is never abook far away from me.
Books have been my companions, my friends, my therapists, the aloe vera on my wounds.
I want to create a space where we could all come together and sooth our souls with books and cappuccino and cafes and bookshops.
The Story
When I travel my luggage is always so heavy because it is full of books, my handbag is always heavy because there is always a book inside of it. I never know when I just want to sit, open, and dive into my book so I always carry it around.
During the pandemic I felt the need to lighten my load as a general
concept. From that came the idea of carrying a lighter load as well, so
I shelved my handbags and decided to carry the minimum amount of
things with me.
That resulted in a small pouch for my phone and keys and another
tiny purse for my wallet. And I felt great and lighter.
The Solution
But then I had a big dilemma: How was I going to carry my book?Leaving my book behind was obviously not an option for me.So at first I started by just holding it in my hands. But then I kept loosing my books because I would put them down somewhere and forget them in all types of places. I needed a solution.I noticed a cord strap that was holding a bleach blanket hanging in my closet. It was from one of our latest lemlem collaborations.I quickly untied it and tied it around my book instead!It wasn’t perfect but it did the job very well. I loved carrying my book with my strap everywhere :) People loved it too, they started stopping me on the streets wanting to know how I did it. So I decided to create one myself.
